HeartPlay School in Asheville NC is a developmental preschool program providing a warm nurturing home atmosphere, a rich stimulating learning environment and a sensitive caring community where each child feels welcome and valued. We believe children are naturally curious, inquisitive and self-initiating. They need not be made to learn but allowed to learn. The adult is there to encourage, support and explore with the child within an authentic and continuing relationship. We provide individual attention in this family setting.
The educational practices of the British Primary Model of education, built on our understanding of developmental psychology and learning theory, lays the foundation for our classroom environment and curriculum. HeartPlay School shares much of the philosophy and many essential elements with both the Montessori and Waldorf models of education.

8:15 a.m. - 8:30 a.m. Drop-off
8:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. Preschool
12:30 p.m. - 12:45 p.m. Pick-up
Extended Day Sessions
1:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m.
3:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m.
open on snow days - no late start days
