Fundations® is a reading/language program that focuses on the prevention and early intervention of reading and spelling difficulties. It's an excellent program providing small group, hands-on, multi-sensory, research-based instruction for children in Kindergarten through 3rd grade.
Fundations® provides a strong foundation as one component of a literature-based language arts curriculum. Lessons focus on carefully sequenced skills that include early literacy, print knowledge, alphabet awareness, phonological awareness, phonemic awareness, decoding, vocabulary, fluency, and spelling. Critical thinking, speaking and listening skills are also practiced during story time activities.
Open to students in Kindergarten through 3rd grade. The groups also help children talk about their feelings about school and provides problem solving skills and support.
